The Go Blue app serves as a sophisticated AI assistant specifically designed for the University of Michigan community, encompassing students, faculty, and staff.

This mobile application enhances the user experience surrounding U-M’s innovative AI platform, facilitating the integration of artificial intelligence into daily activities. Go Blue is capable of responding to inquiries related to campus life and day-to-day experiences, offering conversational responses while functioning as an advanced GPT tool, all while prioritizing user privacy and accessibility.

One of its standout features is the ability to “See and Hear.” Users can pose voice questions or upload images, which the app can analyze through image recognition. For instance, a single photograph can provide details about a campus building, the title of a sculpture, or even suggestions for healthier snack options available in vending machines.

Importantly, all interactions with Go Blue are treated with confidentiality. User data will not be shared with commercial entities or utilized for training other AI models.

Whether inquiries pertain to university-related topics, academic courses, dining options, or sports scores, Go Blue promises to deliver comprehensive support.

The application was developed by the University of Michigan’s Information and Technology Services (ITS).
